As a Sports Performance Consultant and internationally-known expert in peak sports performance, Dr. Goldberg works with athletes and teams across all sports at every level, from professional and Olympic caliber right down to junior competitors. Dr. Goldberg specializes in helping athletes overcome sports fears & blocks, snap out of slumps, and perform to their potential.

Dr. G trains coaches at every level as well as parents to help insure that the relationships that they develop with their athletes/children are healthy and successful. Over the past 32 years, Dr. G has been committed to changing the landscape of youth sports through the education of coaches and parents, helping them understand what young athletes most need from the adults involved to feel and perform like winners. His workshops focus on the qualities of “good coaching” which include teaching with integrity, developing mutual respect, modeling appropriate behavior, creating a safe environment for learning and excelling, maintaining an adult perspective as to what's really important and understanding that good coaching far transcends the win-loss outcome of an athletic contest.

Dr. Goldberg received his doctorate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  Dr. Goldberg does not hold any license and is not a psychologist. He has been working in the field of sports performance enhancement doing individual consultation for over 32 years. Dr. G is a former #1 singles player for the UMass Minuteman tennis team and twice Conference Champion. His background also includes 22 years of professional tennis coaching experience and a first-degree black belt in Shurin Ryu karate. Outside of sports, Dr. Goldberg works with performing artists, sales and business people, test takers, and public speakers.

Over the past 7 years, Dr. G has been training his daughter, Sara Vatore, to use his peak performance and slump/fear busting model to work with athletes across all sports. Several years ago, Sara completed the training program in Somatic Experiencing (SE) that is the hallmark of Dr. G's work with athletes. Sara has her own peak performance consulting business and also works with athletes world-wide. To find out more information about Sara click HERE or read below.

About Sara V:

Sara Vatore, M.Ed., BCC, SEP is a Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Somatic Experiencing ® Practitioner, MELT Method ® Hand and Foot Instructor and Nia Technique White Belt Instructor®. With the techniques and skills learned from her father's 33 years of experience, along with the three year professional training in Somatic Experiencing® (SE), and MELT Method training, Sara synthesizes and uses breakthrough techniques in the field of peak performance to help athletes understand where they are stuck and how to turn it all around!

As a competitive childhood softball player and dancer and a current Nia and MELT instructor, Sara understands the importance of the mind-body connection and it's direct effect on peak performance. Sara specializes in working with athletes and coaches across all sports worldwide, including gymnastics, diving, swimming, dance, figure skating, equestrian, basketball, soccer, baseball, softball and cheerleading to name a few. Sara's clients range from youth to adults, across all levels from professional and Olympic athletes to junior competitors. She is currently the Peak Performance Coach at Hampshire Gymnastics in Amherst, MA.

Sara is committed to working alongside Dr. G to continue to shift the landscape of youth sports, through the education of coaches and parents. Sara helps coaches and parents get to the root and understand their athletes' fear, blocks and performance problems, so they can provide the most supportive path for helping their athletes get unstuck and performing back to their peak potential. She is dedicated to helping coaches create a safe and supportive environment for their athletes to excel in their sport, all while fostering the development of the athletes' confidence, self esteem and a strong connection to themselves. We have an epidemic in our culture of adults inadvertently teaching kids how to distrust and ignore their own body pain signals and push through pain. This is resulting in more injuries and damage to kids' bodies, along with confusing our children and adolecents.

She is on a mission to help educate coaches, parents and athletes about the importance of REST and RESTORE as the missing piece for reaching ULTIMATE PEAK PERFORMANCE through nervous system regulation and connective tissue care.  She works with athletes and teams to integrate the MELT Method® Hand and Foot treatments into their weekly training programs to get the most out of repetitive training, reduce damage to the body and the risk of injury and speed up recovery time.

With over 13 years of experience working with kids and their families and a background in school guidance counseling, Sara has a deep understanding of adolescents and the difficulties that they face.  Reach out today for your free consultation and find out how she can quickly get you or your athlete back on track.
