You can’t reach your dreams on the field and become a great ball player without first using your head: You must learn to develop mental toughness.
My daughter is a pitcher and would get easily intimidated by certain batters, especially the bigger ones. Instead of throwing the way she knew how, she’d lose her confidence and stuff. Although she was reluctant to read the book in the beginning, once she started, she couldn’t put it down! She kept saying to us, “Oh! That’s what I’ve been doing wrong!” She just pitched our team to a first place finish in a huge tournament and I’ve never seen her so confident and focused. Thank you for a wonderfully practical book. I’m having everyone on the team use it. – Bob G., parent and coach, Ohio
- Do you play better in practice than big games or important tryouts?
- Are you easily intimidated by bigger, stronger opponents?
- Do excessive pre-game jitters steal your confidence?
- Do you have trouble letting go of bad at-bats and errors?
- Do you really want to reach your softball dreams?
- Are you in a slump?
Dr. Alan, My daughter Taylor wrote to you back in July asking for help with her mental strength while pitching for her high school softball team and we got your mental toughness workbook and audio set for softball players. Since realizing that her mental state was affecting her physical playing, Taylor has improved greatly! She is holding a 65% strike ratio and her speed has increased impressively. She is known in our district as the most accurate pitcher with incredible stamina. She has pitched several no hitters and Friday night she pitched a perfect game!!! She had the girls on the other team terrified to get in the batter’s box! It tickles her to strike out the opposing team’s pitcher and she usually does! We were talking about how much your book and audios have helped her. THANK YOU – Kelli, Texas

DR. G, Just wanted to send a quick note to thank you for such an outstanding program! I just ordered your softball workbook and audio series a week ago to try and help my 14 year old daughter who has excellent skills, but has problems playing freely because of what happens upstairs in her mind. I have been searching for quite sometime to find someway to help her by using other programs, sending her to professionals etc. but nothing has seemed to work. We have only just begun going through your workbook, ‘Using Your Head…Softball‘ and the first few audio tracks and I’m confident in saying that your mental training books/MP3s may finally be the answer to help give her relief to play the game she loves to play free and to her best ability. Thank you again for giving families like us a program that we can use to try and help our children. – David, Florida
Alan, I wanted you to know that Risa has her unofficial visit to South Carolina this weekend where the assistant coach said ‘she did not have to make her decision then but he would love it if she did.’ She has a couple of other Div 1 colleges interested in her as well, but to play in the SEC – she is so excited. A long way from the girl who could not put her skills into play! She has consistently had a BA of over 500, OBP of 600+ and fielding – let’s just say it is so much fun to watch and the general phrase on the team is “Our center fielder would have caught that!” Her mental state both on and off the field is great. I know this sounds like I am bragging – and maybe a little – but you and your books have had a HUGE impact on where she is now and I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart! – Amy, South Carolina
Using Your Head To Play Championship Softball is a must for any athlete who is serious about this game and would like to take their abilities as far as possible.
